Dialysis-Friendly Jalapeno, Lime, and Smoked Mozzarella Turkey Burger

Chef Aaron McCargo Jr., & Fresenius Medical Care have partnered to develop dialysis-friendly recipes for patients to enjoy this summer, like this Jalapeno, Lime, and Smoked Mozzarella Turkey Burger.

For most Americans, the Fourth of July is a time for fireworks, celebrations and cookouts featuring delicious and decadent food. However, for the almost 400,000 Americans who are on dialysis, there are certain dietary restrictions limiting their food and fluid options, which can make it challenging to enjoy summer barbeques with friends and family.

Chef Aaron McCargo Jr., star of the Food Network’s “Big Daddy’s House,” has partnered with Fresenius Medical Care to develop some dialysis-friendly recipes for patients so they can enjoy summertime foods, including a tasty Jalapeno, Lime, and Smoked Mozzarella Turkey Burger, perfect for people with kidney failure – as well as their families and friends – to enjoy this summer.
