Apparent Transient Found Dead Near New Google Offices in Venice
A black male in his 60s was found dead Thursday night on Main Street in Venice near the new Google offices in the famed Binoculars Building.
The body of an apparent transient was found Thursday night on Main Street near the new Google offices in Venice, authorities said.
A black male in his 60s was found deceased on the street about 6 p.m. and the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office was called to the scene shortly before 7 p.m., said Lt. Brian Elias of the coroner's office.
The matter is still under investigation and an autopsy is pending, Elias said.
The name of the man was being withheld as the coroner's office was still working on notifying his family.
About 500 Google employees in November began working in the Frank Gehry-designed Binoculars Building at 340 Main St.
