Burglary Suspect Prompts Early LAPD Helicopter Search in Venice

A Los Angeles Police Department helicopter hovers over Venice early Friday to search for a burglary suspect.

A search for a burglary suspet in Venice prompted the Los Angeles Police Department to deploy a helicopter early Friday, but no arrest was made.

A watch commander at the LAPD's Pacific Division said the helicopter was called out about 4 a.m. to search for the suspect, but he eluded authorities and the search was called off about 4:15 a.m.

The helicopter was circling in the area near Pacific and Brooks avenues.
