More than 570 people were arrested across Los Angeles County on suspicion of driving while impaired over the extended St. Patrick's Day weekend, authorities said today.

From 12:01 a.m. Friday to midnight Monday night, at least 570 motorists were arrested by 100 law enforcement agencies in the county for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the Glendora Police Department's Wendy Brewer, who is a spokeswoman for the agencies involved in the Avoid the 100 program.

The arrest total is expected to rise as more agencies report their totals, Brewer said.

The Avoid the 100 DUI operations are also planned for Cinco de Mayo, Memorial Day and July 4, she said.

Ah now we can look forward too,..... Cinco de Mayo the 5th of May May 5th May 05, 2014 Why, well for some reason the Sheriff looks the other way at all the Cantina's, aka Mexican restaurants/bars during this event. Politically sensitive they call it I just hope this year they become politically sensitive to all, versus the tequila drinking, beer dousing drunks that use this Podunk event for drunken stupor 101. Just a thought. Lets see what LASD does this year in the good ole Calabasas and Woodland Hiills area

So, 570 people arrested in L.A. County alone and each one is going to lose an average of $10,000.00 by the time their nightmare is over. With ride share services galore in the L.A. area it makes no sense to end up in Jail overnight and in court for days at a time. Be wise, download UBER on your smartphone and use promo code pvj0xp for a $20 first time rider credit. Or, download the Sidecar app and use promo code edward71 for a $15 first time rider credit. Let someone else do the driving when you might have had one too many.
