Update: Feds Bust Marina del Rey Pot Dispensary

No one arrested but marijuana seized.

Federal agents on Wednesday raided Ironworks dispensary in Marina del Rey, according to Drug Enforcement Agency spokesperson Sarah Pullen.

The bust was part of a series of search warrants issued at various Los Angeles marijuana dispensaries, including Downtown Collective at 1600 South Hill St. and L.A. Wonderland Collective at 4406 W. Pico Blvd.

Pullen said no arrests were made at Ironworks but DEA agents seized an unspecified quantity of marijuana from the dispensary, located at 4100 Lincoln Blvd.

Repeated calls to Ironworks went unanswered.

DEA agents worked with the Los Angeles Police Department on the dispensary busts. On Jan. 2, an LAPD detective surveilled Ironworks to establish probable cause. He observed a man exiting the marijuana collective and entering a tan Chevrolet Blazer, followed the vehicle and stopped it at the 2300 block of Superior Avenue in Venice, according to the search warrant. The driver stated that he had left Ironworks and purchased one half ounce for $100. After questioning, the driver was free to go.

A U.S. Magistrate Judge gave agents the authority to seize any marijuana, paraphernalia, firearms, currency in excess of $2,000, any records relating to the cultivation, transportation and sale of marijuana, photographs, customer lists and any address books, and any digital devices containing evidence.

DEA Agent's were to busy hiring prostitutes in Cartagena Colombia so after that bust they wanted to create a good example of them....because after all...DEA's and local police need to have some attention...that's all. Remeber, they are all "legit" government officials.

I guess no one can grasp the "you can grow and use or give away to others who are sick" concept and just find themselves compelled to sell it for money no matter what; in clear violation of federal law. That means, in other words, federal agents will shut down any place accepting cash for pot but keep on fantasizing about your imaginary world where you can do what you want. You'll need that place in prison to help you forget the beatings and rapes.
