Firefighters Knock Down House Fire in Mar Vista

The fire broke out at a home on Purdue Avenue near the border of Mar Vista and Culver City.

Firefighters on Sunday knocked down a fire inside a single-story home in Mar Vista in 14 minutes.

Firefighters were dispatched to 4723 Purdue Ave., near the San Diego (405) Freeway and the border with Culver City, at 10:05 a.m., said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles City Fire Department.

No injuries were reported, Main said.
