LAPD Advisory on "Hot Prowl" Burglary in Mar Vista

The break-in occurred on Monday at an apartment on Grand View Boulevard. The police are reminding residents to lock doors and windows and notify them about suspicious activity.

The LAPD Pacific Division released this advisory yesterday morning:  

On 1-30-2012, at approximately 1345 hrs, a Hot Prowl Burglary occurred in the 3000 block of Grand View Ave. Two male blacks entered into the victim’s apartment byforcing open the front door. Once inside, they werescared off by a witness who confronted the suspects inthe living room. The suspects then fled the location toan awaiting vehicle driven by the third suspect who isdescribed as a female white. The vehicle driven is a 98-99 4 door pearl white Infinity with California plates. 

Ten minutes prior to entering into the residence, thetwo suspects knocked on the front door to see if anyonewas home. The witness did not answer the door since hewas not expecting to have company over. The suspectsthen made their way into the residence. 

Susp:1 is described as a male black with black hair andbrown eyes, 6’ 160 lbs 21-25 yrs old wearing a red hat,black shirt and dark jeans. He is also described ashaving dark skin. 

Susp:2 is described as a male black hair and brown eyes 5'8" 170 21-25 yrs 21-25 yrs old. Susp-2 has multiple tattoos on both arms. 

Susp:3 is described as a female white with blonde hair5'4" 100 20-23 yrs wearing a pink jacket. 

LAPD is reminding all area residents to ensure that you lock all of your doors and windows and immediately report any suspicious activity to LAPD Pacific Division.
