Pacific Division Crime Report: Burglaries Decline, Robberies Up Slightly

Here are the latest statistics on violent and property crime across the division of the Los Angeles Police Department that includes Venice.

Burglaries and auto theft declined in the past month in the Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Division, which includes Venice, as robberies and aggravated assaults rose slightly, according to statistics released this week by police.

The largest decline percentage-wise in crime was grand theft auto, which was down 23 percent from 66 auto thefts between June 19 and July 16 to 51 stolen vehicles from July 17 to Aug. 13.

Below is a summary of crime statistics from July 17 to Aug. 13. Please note these statistics only reflect those crimes reported to the LAPD's Pacific Division, a 26-square mile area that includes Venice, Playa del Rey, Del Rey, Mar Vista, Playa Vista and Westchester.
