Rose McGowan Witnesses 'Knockout Game' in Venice

The actress says she tried to apprehend the suspect who delivered a punch to an unsuspecting victim.

The "Knockout Game" has arrived in Venice, according to actress Rose McGowan, who reports she rushed to the aid of the victim who was punched in the face by a masked man who got away.

Wnd.com and Tmz.com each posted reports of the incident; wnd's is fuller and includes McGowan's tweets about the incident, which took place on Thursday.

McGowan, who is known for her roles in “Charmed, the movie “Scream” and for dating goth rocker Marilyn Manson, said she chased the attacker, who was on a skateboard, to no avail.

She also called for medical attention for the reportedly 65-year-old man who was with his small dog when he was attacked.

The wikipedia entry for the knockout game calls it violent and reports, "The 'knockout game' is one of many names given to assaults in which, purportedly, one or more assailants attempt to knock out an unsuspecting victim, often with a single sucker punch, all for the amusement of the attackers and their accomplices."

It's unknown at this time whether or not a police report was taken nor the extent of the victim's injuries.
