Volunteers Needed to Give LAPD Pacific Station a Facelift

Community members are urged to volunteer their time or donate materials to help the local police station.

The Venice Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an LAPD Pacific Station “Beautification Day” to help the police department with basic building maintenance.

Work will include replacing shelving, lighting, fans and painting. The chamber is asking the community to lend a hand on April 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the LAPD Pacific St, located at 12312 Culver Blvd.

“This is one way we can give back to one another and at the same time cultivate community connections,” said Donna Lasman, executive director of the Venice Chamber of Commerce. “Each quarter we will review project proposals and select a chamber business or organization. We then coordinate people to volunteer to help out. Our goal is to improve Venice one business or community area at a time.”
