Venice Man Escapes from Jail

He was one of two men convicted of sending pornographic spam under the Can-Spam Act.

A former Venice resident serving a 78-month jail sentence reportedly escaped early Friday afternoon, according to the Lompoc Record.

Jeffrey Kilbride was convicted of conspiracy, e-mail fraud, importation or transportation of obscene matters and conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, and was confined in a minimum security camp within the Federal Correctional Complex that houses 446 male inmates.
