Bonin Counts Cyclists and Pedestrians

As promised, CD 11 Councilman Mike Bonin was up bright and early Tuesday morning to take part in the LACBC and LA Walks Bike and Ped Count.

Sporting a yellow t-shirt and armed with a clipboard, CD 11 Councilman Mike Bonin took to the corner of Bundy Drive and Idaho Avenue in West L.A.  at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday to count pedestrians and cyclists as part of the 2013 bike and pedestrian count. The location was one of 120 count sites at which 2013 Bike and Ped volunteers collected data on the number of pedestrians and bicyclists passing through key intersections.

Bonin wrote on his Facebook page, “I joined volunteers from LACBC and LA Walks this morning at one of the 2013 Bike and Ped Count sites on the Westside! Thank you to all who are helping gather this crucial data!”

Bonin chairs the City Council’s Transportation Committee and serves on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Expo Construction Authority Board of Directors.
