Eric Garcetti Endorses Bonin

The 13th District L.A. City Councilman cites Mike Bonin’s “vision and experience” as making him an ideal candidate for the 11th District council seat in 2013.

L.A. City 13 District Councilman and 2013 mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti is endorsing Mike Bonin for his run on the 2013 City Council.

"Los Angeles needs leaders who combine bold new ideas with practical experience,” Garcetti said in an official press release. “That's why I'm endorsing Mike Bonin to succeed Bill Rosendahl... Mike is bright, innovative, and he has a passion for public service. Whether the issue is job creation, building mass transit, or housing the homeless, Mike has proven that he has what it takes to lead and make a difference. He has my full support because he is exactly the kind of leader we need to get L.A. moving in a new direction."

Following Garcetti’s endorsement, Bonin issued a statement saying, “It is an honor to have the endorsement of one of my role models in public service. Since his first day in office, I have watched Eric approach problems with imagination and an open mind. I have seen first-hand his commitment to building consensus, making government smarter and more responsive, and moving Los Angeles forward.”

Bonin also said if he is elected to replace Rosendahl (who will not seek re-election so that he can focus on his battle with cancer), he plans to emulate Garcetti’s practice of “regularly going door-to-door in his district to continue to hear directly from constituents.”

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.

Thank you, David, for your lucid and edifying dissertation on Passover. You just about said itRead More all...I would only add that if people get a chance during the holiday to view the movie version of Fiddler On The Roof they will get a truly inspiring feeling for what it meant - and means - to be Jewish.
