L.A. City Attorney to Double Number of Neighborhood Prosecutors

Mike Feuer plans to take on new prosecutors in the coming weeks. He says they are central to improving the quality of life in neighborhoods.

City Attorney Mike Feuer has announced that he will double the size of his office’s Neighborhood Prosecutor Program in the next several weeks.

“Neighborhood Prosecutors are central to improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods,” said City Attorney Mike Feuer.  “Solving seemingly intractable problems in a community can make the difference as to whether a park is safe or a business district thrives.”

The City Attorney’s Neighborhood Prosecutor Program is designed to prioritize and address quality of life crimes including drug and gang activity, gun violence, street prostitution, illegal dumping, trespassing, zoning and code violations, vandalism, trash and graffiti.
