Photos: May Day in Los Angeles

Do you have May Day photos? If so, please consider adding them to our gallery.

Service workers at Los Angeles International Airport went on strike Tuesday in conjunction with other May Day labor celebrations and protests and busloads of union workers joined a rally inside the airport and march onto Century Boulevard.

More than 1,000 union workers belonging to SEIU 1877 - United Service Workers West protested inside the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX and then marched onto Century Boulevard where a planned act of "civil disobedience" occurred.

There was a heavy police presence on Century Boulevard as several men and women sat in the middle of the intersection in a protest of civil disobedience.

Four men and six women were taken into custody about 2:15 p.m. and most of the protesters dispersed afterward.

Did you do anything to celebrate May Day? Take the day off work? Go on strike? Join a demonstration?

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
