Rosendahl To Swear in New Venice Council Board Members

The newly-elected board members will be sworn in on Tuesday.

Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, who represents Venice and other Westside communities in District 11, will swear in the 21 newly-elected Venice Neighborhood Council board members on Tuesday.

The elections were held on Oct. 28, and dozens of candidates competed for 13 at large community officer seats, the most highly contested race. Incumbent President Linda Lucks beat challenger Richard Duncan.

At 15,593, this election had the highest voter turnout in any Venice election, according to the VNC.

The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. at Westminster Elementary School, located at 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd., during a regularly scheduled VNC meeting.
