Sunday Parking Restrictions and Road Closures for Venice High’s Centennial Parade

Parts of Venice Boulevard will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday to accommodate the school's 100th anniversary celebrations.

is celebrating its centennial all weekend long, and Sunday there will be several road closures and parking restrictions to accommodate the school’s , which will take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

According to a statement released by the Los Angeles Police Commission the following restrictions will be in place:

  • Venice Boulevard (south side only) will be closed from Pacific Avenue to Beethoven Street beginning at 6 a.m.
  • Vehicle owners who do not remove their cars at this time run the risk of receiving a citation and/or being towed.
  • People traveling in and out of Venice should consider alternate routes, including Washington Boulevard and Rose Avenue to Palms Boulevard, and should allow an extra 15–30 minutes to reach their destination.
