I would prioritize support for the Venice Neighborhood schools. I think the council can do much to bring community support for the schools in the neighborhood.

Who are your primary supporters?

My primary supporters would be members of the Venice school communities where I have served as an assistant principal and principal for 12 years. That would be teachers and parents from Venice HIgh School and other neighboring feeder schools.

What issue do you feel most strongly about and what’s your position?

I feel most strongly about improving the quality of Venice neighborhood schools and aligning community support for programs and schools that serve the local community. Preparing our young people in powerful pipelines from elementary through high school keeps communities strong and the future bright. No Venice child should have to leave the community for a good education.

What's one thing most constituents don't know about you?

I have served students in LAUSD schools for over 30 years and still find time and energy to add value to schools and programs for young people.

Why did you decide to run?

I have more time in semi-retirement to devote to schools and I owe the Venice community for all the things they have given me professionally and personally. I love Venice and consider it my second home!
