VNC Community Improvement Grants Awarded

The table below represents the 16 organizations that applied for a total of $29,425 in funding, not including three projects that were disqualified.

The last column, "funding cap," represents the amount of money that each project could receive, if other funded projects do not use their funds.

The projects were weighed and discussed by the VNC's Neighborhood Committee, which proposed allocations. During Tuesday's meeting, a motion was proposed and passed to reallocate $100 from each of the first eight projects to the Venice Japanese American Memorial Marker, which bumped that project's funding from $500 to $1,300. The table below represents the final allocations, which passed the board unanimously, 17-0. 

The VNC's funding had to be allocated by June 15, the end of the current fiscal year.
