Want to Run for Neighborhood Council?

The Venice Neighborhood Council and the Mar Vista Community Council will both hold elections in October.

The Venice Neighborhood Council and the Mar Vista Community Council will both hold elections Oct. 28.

The Venice Neighborhood Council will hold their election at Westminster Avenue Elementary School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the Mar Vista Community Council will have their election at the Mar Vista Farmers' Market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Mar Vista has planned an Oct. 18 candidates forum at St. Bede's Episcopal Church, while Venice has scheduled an Oct. 25 forum at a yet to be determined location.

The deadline for candidates to submit a candidate filing form (see attached) for both elections is the end of the business day Sept. 28 and candidates can file online up until Sept. 29.

There are 21 seats up for grab in Venice and election information can be found right here. Mar Vista has 13 open seats in the election and details can be found right here.
