Venice House Tour to Benefit Neighborhood Youth Programs

The 20th Venice Garden & Home Tour kicks off on Saturday, May 4.

Advance tickets are on sale now for this year's self-guided walking tour of Venice gardens and homes.

The 20th Venice Garden & Home Tour serves as a fundraiser for the Neighborhood Youth Association, which provides child-care for low-income working families, after-school programs and support for students to enter and graduate from college.

Some 30 gardens and homes within walking distance of Abbot Kinney Boulevard are on the tour. Among the stops are artists' studios, homes of architects and designers, and gardens ranging from large to mininalist, says a news release on the event.

The tour runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is available in the neighborhood and shuttle vans will run from lots, although biking is encouraged. Restaurants will be offering food to go.

Tickets for the event are $60 in advance and $70 on the day of the tour, which goes on rain or shine. The tickets are tax-deductible and non-refundable. Children under 12 are admitted free.
