Mar Vista Elementary Schools Fare Well Overall in California Standards Tests

Mar Vista Elementary has some of the highest scores, while all the English-language arts classes score well below the statewide average at Grand View.

The California Department of Education has released the standardized testing scores for the last school year, with overall good results for Mar Vista’s elementary schools.

The only school that did not fare very well was , with all its English-language arts classes scoring well below the results statewide. In mathematics, only the third- and fourth-grade classes scored better than students statewide.

had some of the highest grades, with 94 percent of its fourth-graders scoring either proficient or advanced in English-language arts and 90 percent of fourth-graders scoring either proficient or advanced in mathematics. Beethoven also posted high math scores across all grades.
