Garrett Leight Optical to Celebrate Anniversary Friday

Venice native Garrett Leight will celebrate the four-year anniversary of his first retail store Friday beginning at 7 p.m. at 1423 Abbot Kinney Blvd, according to a company blog.

Attendees will also be celebrating the official launch of the second edition of Spectacle Magazine and will get a preview look at Garrett Leight's Fall/Holiday '13 collection.

Leight is the son of the founders of Oliver Peoples, Larry and Cindy Leight, and opened his Venice shop in 2009, according to the company's website. His company Garrett Leight California Optical was founded in 2010.

The party in the courtyard of A. Kinney Court will include small bites, music by DJ Heidi and a temporary in-store art installation by Tofer Chin. RSVPs are mandatory and can be made by emailing RSVP@garrettleight.com.
