A Pacific Palisades man was the first West Los Angeles area resident to cross the finish line of the Herbalife Triathlon LA Sunday, according to online race results.
Thirty-one-year-old Sean Jefferson took third place with a time of 1 hour, 54 minutes and 46 seconds, beating out Chris Foster, 31, of Redondo Beach by one second.
Kevin Everett, 38, of Boise ID, took first place in one hour, 52 minutes and 28 seconds. The first place woman was Radka Vodickova, 29, of the Czech Republic, in two hours, 3 minutes and seven seconds.
Thirty-five-year-old Jim Lunbinski of Santa Monica finished in 10th place.
Tyler Willingham, 34, of Venice, crossed the finish line in 17th place. Daren Filsinger, 37, of Venice finished in 32nd place. Other Venice competitors included James Hotson, 24, in 49th place, John Sebes, 24, in 74th place, Rachael Babcock, 40, finished in 155th place, Kristin Silvestri, 29, in 188th place, and Alex Chaice, 44, finished in 254th place.
Julie Archer, 24, was the first Mar Vista resident to complete the race, finishing in 224th place. In her division, her finish earned her second place.
In their respective divisions, Willingham placed second, Filsinger and Hotson third, Sebes, Babcock and Silvestri fourth, and Chaice 47th.
