Venice High Players Make All-League Baseball Squad

Ryan Losman and Nolan Sax are first team selections; five other Gondos are on the second team.

The baseball team has been selected and seven Venice High players are on the squad.

The Gondoliers on the first team are sophomore pitcher and senior shortstop . Losman had a 3.06 earned run average with 34 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings. Sax batted .510 with 26 hits, 20 runs, 15 RBIs and 27 stolen bases this season.

Venice High players on the second team are sophomore pitcher , senior catcher , senior first baseman and senior outfielders and . 

Sophomore of league champion Palisades and senior of runner-up Westchester are co-Most Valuable Players, Palisades senior is Pitcher of the Year and of Hamilton is Freshman of the Year.

The Gondoliers finished 16-7 and tied Hamilton for third place in the league standings. Venice was not one of the 20 teams in the City Section Division I playoffs.
