Venice High's Xiong on All-City Volleyball Squad

Gondos' senior makes the Division II second team; list is full of Western League players.

The CIF Los Angeles City Section committee has released its All-City boys volleyball teams and Venice High senior captain  has made the Division II second team squad. 

The Gondoliers' setter/opposite hitter led the the team to fourth place in the Western League and was a first team All-Western League selection along with teammate Homer Smith, a senior outside hitter. 

Other Western League players on the All-City Division II squad are senior  (first team) and  (second team) of Fairax and University senior  (second team).

Four Palisades High players are on the All-City Division I squad. Making the first team for the Western League champion Dolphins were senior outside/opposite hitter and co-captain  and senior setter and co-captain . Both players also made the All-League first team and Scharf was league Player of the Year.

 of Granada Hills was named Player of the Year and Highlanders Coach  was named Coach of the Year after leading the West Valley League winners to the City Division I championship and the second round of the Southern Californa Regional playoffs.

Making the second team from Palisades were senior libero/outside hitter  and junior libero/outside hiter . Both also made the All-Western league team.

Cesar Medina of LA Jordan was named Player of the Year in Division II and Raymond Gonzalez of Elizabeth Learning Center was named Player of the Year in the Small Schools Division.
