Venice-Raised University of Montana Forward Named Basketball Player of the Week

Player averaged 26 points per game.

Kareem Jamar, a guard and forward who plays for the University of Montana, was named the Big Sky Conference’s men’s basketball player of the week, according to the Associated Press.  

The 6-foot-5 junior averaged 16.7 points per game, according to the AP. On March 4, against Southern Utah, Jamar scored 26 points, four rebounds, four assists and one block.

The Big Sky Conference members are: UC Davis, Cal Poly, Weber State, Southern Utah, Sacramento State, Portland State, Northern Colorado, Northern Arizona, North Dakota, Montana State, Montana, Idaho State and Eastern Washington.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
