'Treasure Chest' Discovered on Venice Beach

Some pranksters pull a fast one on Venice Beach earlier this week.

A couple of pranksters pulled a fast one on Venice Beach earlier this week by burying a treasure chest at night and then digging it out of the sand over the Memorial Day weekend.

The treasure chest was filled with chocolate "gold coins." A YouTube video shows them burying the treasure chest deep in the sand. The next day, two of the pranksters are shown walking the beach with a metal detector and they call out to their friends.

"There's something huge over here," one of them shouts.

A crowd gathers and the digging begins. As the treasure chest is uncovered, children start chanting, "Open it, open it, open it!"

After a lifeguard's warning, the pranksters open the chest and the crowd goes crazy at the site of all the coins.
