The Venice library is part of the Los Angeles Public Library system. You can request any of the books and materials the LAPL has, and you can return your books (or CDs, or DVDs!) to any of the branches.

It has an extensive DVD collection on hand, including many from the Criterion Collection.

They offer a children's corner, with cushy chairs and a brightly colored rug, reading tables, internet, outlets for your computer, and computers of their own.

The Friends of the Venice Library hold book sales several times a year. They are always looking for volunteers to help during sales or anytime during the week, restocking shelves.

The Venice library is almost always busy, but the LAPL system has experienced cutbacks in the past few years and needs community help.
