Windward School

<p>Celebrating its 40th year in 2011, Windward School on Palms Boulevard is a private college preparatory school for students in grades 7-12. It is also one of the first schools in California to receive<br> LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for Schools 2.0 Gold certification."</p> <p>The school aims to inspire students to be responsible, caring, well informed, ethical young adults and provides a variety of enrichment programs covering everything from dance, drama and photography to environmental sciences and physical education. </p> <p>Windward has its own community garden and is very involved in the tight-knit Mar Vista neighborhood. It is also well-known for its athletics teams.</p>
