Pathetic, that Venice' needs are so ignored by that city that we have been forced to sell ourRead More beloved public beach/boardwalk to the highest bidder . Venice already generates enough revenue to cover these basic needs of clean up and parking. We do not need bigger crowds. we need better management of the crowds that we already have

Juliam, There is no scheduled airline service to SMO. There may be early flights to Vegas, butRead More they are not on a "regional airliner" like you claim. I am at SMO on a daily basis and unlike you I am an expert on commercial aviation. I have never seen a CRJ or ERJ land at smo. The anti airport groups tend to lie about their research with claims that SMO is somehow unsafe. An engineer such as yourself should not believe the lies fat cat real estate developers, and terrorist organizations such as CRAAP tell so they can close down the airport for their own greedy needs.

PS what do you define as early? Airplanes aren't even allowed to turn on their engines until 7am onRead More weekdays and 8am on weekends.

Juliam, anyone whose attempt at intelligent debate can only be expressed in terms ofRead More "silly" and "scum" and is deliberately obtuse about obvious issues, does not deserve to be taken seriously on any topic. Pilot Dave (wishful thinking I'm sure) has no credible documentation to back up the ridiculous nonsense he is baiting you with! Ignore his BS, I plan to!!!
