One of our family treasures. My daughter, Molly, was unimpressed, however, and did a greatRead More impersonation of his "Hah, Ahm Hoowell Howser, etc." which in turn became a special memory for me. We promise ourselves to visit at least one of his special places.

Wow, Huell is so cool. So sad to hear the tragic news, he'll be greatly missed. There will never beRead More anybody as cool as Huell. I hope KCET will keep playing reruns.

Got the pleasure of meeting Huell at a UC Davis fund raiser. He was very nice and so funny. We haveRead More a picture we took with him and also he signed a t-shirt we have framed. Almost all our trips are because of him. He helped us learn and love California. RIP Huell.

Glenn, I hesitate to call you an idiot, but I do think that if it's between someone's life versusRead More the annoyance of a streetlight, it's a pretty obvious choice. Besides, the residential areas along the bike path are somewhat lit already ... it's the rest of it that is the problem. Believe me, if you live on Ocean Front Walk, you want lighting! Maybe Jason is on to something ... ;)

Glenn, you should be embarrassed of yourself.

Nora Ephron understood that an infinite number of ideas are out there and she was as capable ofRead More finding them as anyone. Time wasn't a limit for her. The example I use in my class is when she created the story for the movie "Bewitched." She got a call from a friend at Paramount one afternoon who said that Nicole Kidman had been in the studio that day and had shown everyone how she could twitch her nose. Nicole would be coming back the next day and the friend wanted to know if Nora could write a story that they could pitch. Nora didn't hesitate, said yes, and wrote one that evening. The next day Nora's story was pitched to Nicole; Nicole said yes; and the movie got made.

She was our fearless leader, our guiding star, a community leader, a devoted teacher, friend,Read More daughter, sister, and partner. Personally, she was my everything. I adored her and I miss her every moment of every day. Thank you for posting this photo of Linda and our dog, Ruby Tuesday. We had such fun being "reporters" that day the L.A. Marathon Mile 8 was at the end of our street. We keep Peach Tree Pottery open as a working studio and gallery in Linda's memory.

Tisha Bedrosian was a wonderful person and Tisha was a pleasure to have known. Tisha had a love ofRead More Venice that was greatly respected by all who met her and she definitely showed that love with everything she did in getting Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council organized( not an easy task but she did it!) I have fond memories of Tisha sitting with me smiling encouraging me to be involved in the G.R.V.N.C -Thank you Tisha. My memories of her courage being President of G.R.V.N.C in Venice with all its eclectic and very strong personalities says everything about Tisha, she was a true pioneer and one that this community will truly miss. My condolences to her family and friends. Tisha Bedrosian another great 'Woman' to admire always! Peace and Blessings Laddie Williams

Tisha was the spark, the energy, and the dynamic personality that first envisioned and then createdRead More the neighborhood council in Venice. She was a natural leader, devoid of political agenda who managed to overcome the adversity of entrenched political factions, the sitting Councilwoman, a competing NC organizing group, and well funded social service organizations, and meld all those factions into a cohesive strong vehicle that wanted nothing more than to make Venice a better, safer, and cleaner community for all who visited, lived and worked in Venice. Her sister Chris, was an unsung hero who performed the everyday nuts and bolts operations that were needed to succeed. It was hard, hard, work that often took 10 fold the amount of time to plan and accomplish verses the public meeting time. I had the honor of working with Tisha, and Chris as well the many other volunteers who worked so doggedly hard to design and build without a blueprint the Grassroots Venice Neighborhood Council. It was an incredible effort, a Herculean task, and Tisha led without reservation not only during the years of planning and design, but was the first President as well. I will always be in awe of Tisha and miss her greatly. Chris Williams Charter Boardmember GRVNC

Tisha will be long remembered for the good that she accomplished! It is very sad that she left us atRead More such an early time of her life. We will all be diminished by her passing.
