No poop stains, stabbings, or "Sonny Barger". Still, a great event, and a good time hadRead More by all - Housed, UnHoused and "Rubber Tramps".

Who's to say that I haven't? But in reality, this about Community building and mobilization,Read More against the fascistic scape-goating and hate-mongering of Ryavec and the other stooges. And in fact, the money being generated, will be plowed back into a check-in center, for the benefit of the UnHoused. Which seems to me like a tangible benefit. Feel free to come-by Catman. Perhaps you can try your hand at the "Shelter Game" and win a prize... Otherwise, we'll be feeding people, and providing a night of entertainment and community unity, under the stars.

Go camp on 3rd Street if you really want to show solidarity with the homeless. An event like thisRead More might make the participants feel good about themselves but it does absolutely nothing for the people who are actually homeless in the real world.

Hello, I live on Grand View Blvd. in Mar Vista Los Angeles. Tonight I scarred off 2 COYOTES from myRead More driveway at 2:30am (on Jan 5 2013). I had let my cat out earlier and went to call him in when I saw them out front. Thankfully I was able to retrieve him and my other cats who were also out. Surprisingly my dog did not bark during the whole occurrence. I have also recently, (yesterday) seen a large, pink tipped HAWK circling my area and at the top of Grand View Hill @ Palms around 12 noon-1 pm, and have been told by a neighbor that there is an OWL hanging around as well!. THESE ARE ALL PREDATORS AND ARE LOOKING FOR OUR PETS as FOOD/PREY All of this is REALLY BAD news for owners of small pets that spend time outdoors unattended. PLEASE NOTIFY RESIDENTS!!

I had seen three coyotes in the North Long Beach area in the early morning on Aug 9th. I had savedRead More a cat that one of the coyotes was trying to get. I just followed in my car and kept honking the horn over & over again until I finally had scared it away. I did inform Animal Control on the same day. Unfortuantely I was not able to save a cat that they had already killed and were eating prior. I hate to see ANY animal in danger, nevertheless when it is someone's pet!

Let's hope next year more people are aware of the changes to the Venice Art Walk. Google was a niceRead More addition to the walk. I believe there were less people in attendance compared to prior years due to the changes. I have been volunteering for 14 years and never saw such poor attendance. We normally have double the amount of galleries to visit. I think the silent action should remain at the school. The exhibit at the school was easier to see each piece and easier to bid on a piece. From the long walk the beer & wine garden should be on a patch of grass somewhere with tables and chairs to sit down and discuss the art we have seen. The area was not very inviting. Some live music would be nice. It was still a great day!

Congrats to the residents of Santa Monica! Once again they have managed to remove the unpleasant,Read More toxic (SMO) and dangerous from their neighborhood and throw it over the fence into Venice.
