Cassandra has been working for Patch since 2010. She has covered local news for Encino, Montrose, La Crescenta, Monrovia, Echo Park and Hollywood. She launched and served as editor of Montrose Patch and most recently took over Sierra Madre Patch as guest editor.
Cassandra is originally from Connecticut and has a degree in Journalism from New York University. Before moving to California, she covered local entertainment, shopping, restaurants and notable people for "Cool in Your Code," an NYCTV show. She has also penned personal essays for New York Press, wrote a music venue column for The Aquarian, covered Connecticut parenting issues for County Kids Magazine, and researched celebrity articles for US Weekly. She also writes for About.com. Cassandra began her Journalism career reporting on high school sports for her hometown newspaper The Trumbull Times.
