Venice Zipline Opening Delayed

Scheduled to open July 1, then July 8 on the boardwalk, the company operating the Zipline says opening could be as "soon as the 15th or as late as the 18th."

The much-anticipated opening of the Venice Zipline has been pushed back at least another week.

The Zipline on the boardwalk was originally slated to open on July 1 and then on July 8.  However, on July 7, the company operating the Zipline - Flightlinez - issued a press release stating, "There are always elements out of peoples control and with materials being delayed arriving to the site. Flightlinez is looking at another week of construction before they can open the zipline for everyone to enjoy."

Flightlinez spokesperson Brina Marcus told Patch on Tuesday morning, "Next week we have inspections set for Monday (July 15). [The opening] could be as soon as the 15th or as late as the 18th."

In the meantime, check out the photos of the Zipline being erected on the boardwalk. Will you try it out?
