'Despicable Me 2' Characters to Appear at Winter Wonderland Toy Giveaway
LAPD's Pacific Division is staging another wonderful Winter Wonderland toy giveaway event this year.
Characters from the movie "Despicable Me 2" will be part of the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Division's Annual Winter Wonderland Xmas Toy Giveaway Saturday.
The free toy giveaway promises to be a memorable, fun-filled holiday for children and their families, said Monica Harmon, LAPD Pacific Division Community Police Advisory Board Member and event organizer.
"Thanks to the generosity of corporate sponsors, businesses, neighborhood councils and community organizations we can provide an unforgettable experience," she told Patch.
In addition to free toys, the event will include free pictures with Santa Claus, free barbecue, Hansen's beverages, Nestle hot cocoa, a balloon clown, the LA Galaxy Street Team, LA Kings Chariot Team, KRTH FM, Quinceanera Magazine and beauty court and the Disney VoluntEARs.
Winter Wonderland takes place Saturday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at LAPD's Pacific Division, 12312 Culver Blvd.
Toys and monetary donations are still welcome. Unwrapped gifts and monetary donations can be taken to the Pacific Division front desk.
