405 Freeway Cleared After Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Two lanes were shut down.

A white sedan fatally struck a motorcyclist on the southbound 405 Freeway at Venice Boulevard at approximately 4:35 p.m., forcing a three-lane closure for about two hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The name of the motorcylist, who is 43-years-old, is not being released until the next of kin is notified.

As of 7:46 p.m., the freeway was clear, according to CHP.
