Why Go: Heal the Beach presents the California Coastal Cleanup Day with volunteers from all over Los Angeles, who will take action to clean the beaches and inland waterways of unsightly and harmful debris. Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) is an international event with more than 90 countries around the world participating, making it one of the largest volunteer efforts on the planet. Everyone can make a difference and keep the coast clean.

Why Go: Join Mar Vista Community CouncilMar Vista Farmers Market and Los Angeles Costume Swap for a day of heroes. This will be the official start to letting your kids—and the kid in you—have a little fun by dressing up as your favorite kind of hero, be it a doctor, policewoman, eco-warrior, Wonder Woman or a Steampunk Captain.  Be green and win lots of cool prizes.
