A new mural of the late singer Teena Marie is going up in Venice.
The mural project is the brainchild of Tony Vera, a Venice Beach boardwalk performer and is located on Pacific Avenue and 19th Avenue.
Teena Marie is the stage name of Mary Christine Brocker, a Venice High School alumni who had a successful singing career in soul and rhythm and blues music.
