Rescue Pet of the Week: Stewart the American Shorthair

This cat is extremely people friendly and is looking to help fill a void in someone's life.

Stewart arrived at the Friends of Animals Foundation cattery door in two tied-together wicker laundry baskets.

A volunteer yelled at the man who dumped him as he ran down the street, but he never looked back. Stewart was microchipped, but the information led nowhere—he's a real mystery!

Stewart is a big, friendly, 3- or 4-year old American shorthair with a trim, white coat that sports a few black spots. He's a real people cat, sweet and playful, and would probably do best as an only cat.
