Schwarzenegger Sells Bodybuilding Drama Set in Venice Beach to Showtime

The one-hour drama is entitled 'Pump' and is set in Venice Beach in the early 1970s.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has sold a bodybuilding drama to Showtime, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The former California governor's latest project is based on his one-time profession, that of a bodybuilder.

According to THR, the  show - entitled Pump - "traces the origin of the present-day fitness industry and culture of body worship to a single 1,000-square-foot concrete room on Pacific Avenue in a gym called Pump."

The one-hour drama is set in Venice Beach in the early 1970s.

Venice recently paid homage to Schwarzenegger when it unveiled a mural of his bodybuilding days back in March.
