Occupy Martin Luther King Jr Picnic

Ocean ave & Colorado Ave. Next to Santa Monica Pier

At the canon 

Potluck Picnic 12 to 1:30/ 2pm

At the picnic people will read brief passages of Martin Luther King letters, speeches or just celebarte his courage by being at the picnic. 

March 2pm to 2:30/3 pm  

Start at the picnic Have a sign with your favorite Martin Luther King Jr. quote and wear your your favorite MLK t-shirt, hat etc... or a combination of Occupy & Martin Luther King jr.

This day is all about the man who stood up to oppression and said  no more! 

Occupy Signs: Must be 3  1/2 ft or smaller to follow Santa Monica laws. Recommend - t-shirts, bandanas, jackets, hats etc... 

The march will be approx. 1  mile long. Once the marchers almost reach the destination, head of the march will Mic Check approximately every 10 to  15 feet until the reach the end of the march.

At the end of the march, the marcher will be joined with 1 or more speakers to speak on the life and celebration of Martin Luther King Jr.
