Gas Prices Rising

The average price is 6.6 cents more than one week ago.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the 18th consecutive day, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.728.

The average price is 6.6 cents more than one week ago, 11 cents higher than a month ago and 39.2 cents greater than a year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price has risen 18.6 cents over the past 18 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The average price had fallen for 42 consecutive days before the current streak of increases.

The Orange County average price also rose today for the 18th consecutive day following a 42-day streak of decreases, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.718, 6.7 cents more than one week ago, 13.5 cents higher than one month ago and 38.3 cents higher than a year ago.

The Orange County average price has risen 20.6 cents over the past 18 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Sunday.
