Alejandra Schrader Eliminated from 'MasterChef'

Alejandra Schrader served up a raw pork dish on the popular FOX show MasterChef and was eliminated Tuesday night from the televised competition.

Mar Vista Patch first met Schrader along with co-competitor Tracy Kontos at . The duo are opening their own catering business - Cucina Cocina and Mar Vista Patch helped introduce them to Manager Diana Rodger.

Both Schrader and Kontos are well known names now in the neighborhood after doing not one, but two cooking demonstrations this past weekend, one at Whole Foods and the other at the Mar Vista Farmers' market, where we photographed them with fresh ingredients boughts from the market.

On Monday night's episode of MasterChef, Schrader was in the bottom three but survived, making it into the Top 10. However, on Tuesday night she wasn't so lucky when she landed up serving raw pork to the judges.

"Rule number one, you cannot serve raw pork anywhere," contest host Gordon Ramsay told Schrader.

Schrader, who lives in Playa del Rey, thanked the judges for giving her the opportunity to compete and said she learned a lot on the show.

"I am so proud to have made it this far," Schrader said after she was eliminated. "I won't get to be Master Chef, but now I have a very big backpack full of knowledge that I gained through this process and I'm just going to go out there and use that now."

Schrader also maintains a Web site and a blog called Cook Global, Eat at Home.

Kontos is still on the show, which airs each week on Monday and Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. on Fox.
