First Friday, a Community Sleepover, and Art Events

Here are things to do in Venice this weekend.

August has arrived!

Hit Abbot Kinney Boulevard for the monthly First Friday celebration of sales, crowds and, yes, food trucks. Shops will be open late, and the bars will be hopping.

If that's not your scene, head over to Vernon Avenue and check out , an art installation, music, and live painting event starting at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Sunday, join Tadpole Marketing for a Meet by the lifeguard station by Rose Avenue. And as though cleaning up Venice Beach isn't rewarding enough in its own right, Tadpole is working with sponsors to offer discounts at local places! Check the event listing for more info.
