Mar Vista Green Gardens Tour Looking to Grow

Tour had over 2,000 attendants last year.

The Mar Vista Green Gardens Showcase is looking for more homeowners to participate in the 5th annual home tour that highlights drought-tolerant landscapes and edible gardens.

The festival will take place on April 20, to coincide with Earth Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prior to the event, festival organizers will create a map of featured homes in Mar Vista. Here is the map of the event from 2012 that over 2,000 people attended.

Over two dozen homes have already joined the tour but festival organizers are still seeking a few more volunteers. The showcase focuses mostly on California native gardens that support pollinators such as honey bees and monarch butterflies, and gardens that create a communal space.

To become a featured home on the tour, contact Melissa.stoller@marvista.org, jeanne@marvista.org or sherri@marvista.org. The deadline to submit a garden is Feb. 10. View some of the homes featured on the 2013 tour.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
