MVCC Will Officially Accept Olson's Resignation Tonight

Following Albert Olson's verbal resignation form the board of the Mar Vista Community Council on Tuesday night, a special meeting of the Executive and Finance Commitee has been convened to formally accept Olson's resignation.

The meeting will take place tonight at 5:45 p.m. at  the Coffee Connection, 3838 S. Centinela Ave. (cnr. Venice Boulevard and Centinela Ave).

According to the MVCC website, "this meeting is being called to accept the resignation of MVCC Chair Albert Olson and to set a special Board meeting for the designation of a second signatory for the MVCC account."

The agenda for the evening is as follows:

• Call to Order and Welcome – Sharon Commins, First Vice Chair acting in the absence of the Chair per MVCC Bylaws Article VI, Section 2B: “First Vice Chairperson: The First Vice Chairperson (First Vice Chair) shall discharge the duties of the Chair in the absence or disability of the Chair or as requested by the Chair or Board.”
• Public Comment & Announcements-for items not on the agenda.
• Special Agenda Item #1: MOTION: To accept with deepest regret the resignation of Albert Olson from the Mar Vista Community Council Board of Directors.
• Special Agenda Item #2: Establish a timeline and agenda for a special meeting of the Mar Vista Community Council Board of Directors to:
• Formally accept the resignation of Albert Olson.
• Designate and formally approve a second signatory for the MVCC account, a DONE requirement.
• Direct the Election and Bylaws Committee to review policies and procedures regarding the appointment of board members and the election of officers.
• Adjournment (6:45 pm)
