Patch to Join Web-Wide Moment of Silence for Sandy Hook Victims

The tribute is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. and will last five minutes.

Patch—along with parent company AOL—is scheduled to join numerous websites in a tribute to the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims. The blackout is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. and will last five minutes.

When you visit any Patch site Friday at 6:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. EST), you'll be greeted by a message box and a link prompting you to "Find out what else you can do" to help end gun violence. The link will direct you to the Sandy Hook Campaign on Causes.com.

According to Patch's sister publication, Tech Crunch, the campaign was inspired by a call for a moment of silence by Connecticut's governor, Dan Malloy, and spearheaded by Causes and SV Angel.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.

Thank you, David, for your lucid and edifying dissertation on Passover. You just about said itRead More all...I would only add that if people get a chance during the holiday to view the movie version of Fiddler On The Roof they will get a truly inspiring feeling for what it meant - and means - to be Jewish.
