Photos: Solar Eclipse Attracts Sky Gazers

A solar eclipse Sunday afternoon compels people to look to the sky as 85 percent of the sun was covered by the moon.

A solar eclipse compelled men, women and children to look to the northern sky Sunday as the moon covered roughly 85 percent of the sun.

Partly cloudy skies along the coast made the eclipse easy to see to the naked eye and camera. Others watched the astronomical event through pinholes or specially made viewing glasses with dark, thick film.

Did you see the solar eclipse? Got a cool picture? Feel free to share a photo of the eclipse in the gallery with your neighbors.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

Thank you, David, for your lucid and edifying dissertation on Passover. You just about said itRead More all...I would only add that if people get a chance during the holiday to view the movie version of Fiddler On The Roof they will get a truly inspiring feeling for what it meant - and means - to be Jewish.
