The Weekend Looks Bright

After a week of off-and-on rain, the forecast this weekend looks bright at the moment. Of course, it was supposed to rain Thursday and Friday, but as of this posting, the sky over Venice is blue.

Friday night, head over to Beyond Baroque and check out Southern California poets , who will be reading at 7:30. 

On Saturday, grab your last chance to check out "The Art of Chase + Friends" at 57 Market St. Chase and Isabelle Alford-Lago will be at the gallery from noon to 4 p.m. to answer questions and chat.

Then head over to Townhouse from 6 - 9 p.m. for a . Baby Blues BBQ is providing food, and a four-whiskey tasting is just $20. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door, and all proceeds go to support Venice Arts' Youth Arts Intern Program. The party will be in Townhouse's newly remodeled basement.

On Sunday, Exhale Venice is offering a " from 2 - 4 p.m. "Practice includes sacred movement, asana, yogic breathing techniques, pranayam, sacred sound, manta, internal contractions, bandha, and gestures, mudra."
